The Barefoot Yummy But Good For You Chocolate Shake

I have got a cracker of a recipe for you if you like chocolate shakes and to top it all off every single ingredient is good for you.

You will need:

– Almond milk (I make my own. It’s super easy and you know there’s no nasties added)

– Raw Cacao powder

– Raw honey

If you can, make sure all your ingredients are organic (it’s better for you and for the earth)

So measure out about 500 ml of almond milk, add 1 or 2 teaspoons of cacao powder depending on how chocolatey you want it, and 1-2 teaspoons of raw honey. You can mix it up by hand but I usually blast it in the Nutri bullet which gives it a little bit of froth. Give it a taste and add more cacao or honey if needed. Pour into a glass and enjoy this yummy drink knowing every ingredient is doing you good!

So how is this drink good for you? Well, raw cacao an antioxidant power house with 40 times the antioxidants of blueberries. It is the highest plant based source of iron, its high in magnesium, has more calcium than cows milk, and is a natural mood elevator and antidepressant.

Almond milk is high several vitamins and minerals especially vitamin E, and raw honey is high in antioxidants, has natural anti fungal and antibiotic properties, is high in phytonutrients which provide antioxidant and anti inflammatory benefits, and it can help with digestive issues.
